An impressive shipment of oversized modules were loaded in Saint Nazaire last December for Nigeria. Three air cooled condensers weighing each 480 MT and measuring 51x16x17 m along with two 80 mt modules were loaded on-board the semi submersible vessel mv Kang Sheng Kou.

The Montoir de Bretagne based company SOGEBRAS acted as agents and cargo handlers for this operation.

An impressive shipment of oversized modules For the account of ship owners COSCO, SOGEBRAS co-ordinated the fastening and securing preparations on board. The first challenge was to synchronise the placement of the supports along with the loading of the module from the berth. The second was to supervise the sensitive welding operations and make sure that the cargo was seaworthy.

Despite the rough winter conditions in the Biscay area and along her journey, mv Kang Sheng Kou reached Nigeria safely with her cargo on board.
