Sogebras hosts the largest photovoltaic power plant in the region

This project, led by JPEE, began last May with the refurbishment of the 3 warehouses concerned (roof changes, asbestos removal, structural reinforcement). It will end in December 2017 after the installation of 15,000 m² of photovoltaic panels and the creation of a specific electricity network.

This photovoltaic plant, will produce 2,600 MWh per year is the annual equivalent of electricity consumption, excluding heating, 875 households.

Monthly multipurpose service with lifting capacity of up to 120 metric tons

Rickmers-Linie Swire and Shipping have announced on June 8th, launch of a connecting carrier partnership from India and the Middle East towards the South Pacific.

The objective of the collaboration is to enhance network coverage by providing a regular breakbulk service out of India and the Middle East towards Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific ports, via Singapore.

The first voyage was scheduled to depart Mumbai on 9 June 2015. The first voyage from Jebel Ali being on 28 June 2015. The load ports are Jebel Ali, Mumbai, Chennai, Dammam, Kolkata. The destination ports, via Singapore, are Papua New Guinea, Solomons, New Caledonia, Fiji, Australian East Coast, Darwin, East Timor and New Zealand.

SOGEBRAS joining challenge whilst Cruise Liner shipbuilding approaches to completion

The St-Nazaire STX Shipyard is worldwide know as a major ship builder collectioning the records lead from construction of new cruisers shipbuildings.
Currently under finalization in construction dock, ship A34 received her name of “HARMONY OF THE SEAS” and will become the bigger cruise ship ever built at her launch in April 2016.
Arriving at this step of work, THLG member SOGEBRAS begins to get involved and consulted for her locally know-how experience in OOG and abnormal cargoes delivered from their suppliers.
April / May 2015 lead to a nice serie of deliveries with The central Chimney 170t – 38x15x13m, The Mast 62t – 25x15x12m, 2x Funnel racks 27t – 18x10x5m, 2x Flowriders 27t – 16x10x3m, all using the HL Derrick 400 MT and are then now ready for the final weldings !
